Who we are

It started with a parking lot I couldn't find.

I'm Shane — a chiropractor here in Charlotte, which means I spend a good part of every day telling people to go for a walk. The greenways are the best free gift this city has: shaded, paved, car-free miles along our creeks. But the information about them was scattered — a county brochure here, an outdated map pin there. I'd recommend a trail to a patient, then spend five minutes explaining where to actually park.

So I built the app I wished existed: every greenway in the Charlotte metro, drawn to match the official county brochure, with the parking lots, trailheads, and restrooms where they actually are. Then I added the part that keeps me lacing up — every stretch you cover turns gold on your map, trail by trail, until you've walked them all.

Why "Socy"? Because this was never meant to be something you use alone. It's a society — of walkers, runners, and riders who think the best way to know Charlotte is at three miles an hour. If you're out on the greenways, you're already one of us. The pass just makes it official.

Made in Charlotte. See you out there.
